If anyone in the section is interested in developing a continuing education opportunity (workshop, course, etc.) in the foreseeable future regarding long term studies, please contact Doug Nieman. doug is on the AFS Continuing Education Committee and they have been sniffing around for partners to broaden the scope and bring an interdisciplinary perspective to the AFS CE program. They hold several CE opportunities at our annual meeting each year, and many of their Divisions offer them from time to time as well, plus there is even more local activity at the Chapter level. More than a few AFS members may be ESA members also. And, there is much activity in the subject area across the fisheries discipline, so it seems like there would be a good fit.
